Lisfranc fracture – Post Surgery

These pictures were taken 5 days after the surgery. There are three incisions. Two on the top of the foot and one on the inside of the foot. I am now able to walk with little pain with the help of this HUGE boot I am now wearing. Will be going back to the doctor next Monday to have the stitches taken out.

I am no longer on the GOOD pain medication, I am doing Tylenol and ibuprofen on a regular basis for pain. I do pretty good during the day, but after using it all day, I look forward to being able to elevate it after work at home.

All in all, things are going good. It will nice to not have to wear some type of brace or appliance, it gets really old after 10 weeks of it.

During the three days of recovery, I watched a lot of movies, and finished one of the Ender books. I will be putting my reviews up shortly.

  1. How's the foot holding up? I had a lisfranc fracture my senior year of highschool and recovery was nasty. I was on crutches for about four months and then the big black walking boot. Your surgery incisions are exactly where my scars are. (Although the small incision on the top of the foot left no scars). They make for a great conversation starter. lol
