On our family vacation this year, we went to a little lake called Bloomington Lake. This lake is only a short hike from the trail head (but it has some steep grades, and was some of the trail was covered with snow).

I can't believe that Bloomington had that much snow and ice on it the same week we were up there. Every year my brother and I (among others) hike over to Bloomington and swing off the rope swing a few times before swimming over to jump off the cliffs. We ran out of time this year, which was fortunate I guess. In fact we went this time last year and it was cold, as always, but fun.
